In less than 60 seconds, the DiskMantler efficiently disassembles decommissioned hard drives into their largest components--the case, cover, PC board, platters, voice coil, and rare-earth magnets.
Introducing the award-winning DiskMantler, revolutionizing the landscape of hard drive destruction and e-waste recycling. Through a process of controlled shock, harmonics, and synchronized vibration, the DiskMantler simultaneously loosens and ejects all hard drive screws in a unified process. In less than 60 seconds, the DiskMantler efficiently disassembles decommissioned hard drives into their largest components--the case, cover, PC board, platters, voice coil, and rare-earth magnets. This hands-free, automated disassembly process takes less than 60 seconds per drive, depending on the user's desired degree of component separation and hard drive construction. Welded helium drives take about 120 seconds.
By separating the valuable internal components from its casing, the components are ready for responsible recycling by creating a clean waste stream. This process significantly reduces e-waste, minimizing adverse environmental effects, replacing traditional shredding and melting methods, and increasing the value of the recycled components.
Scalable by Design:
Each DiskMantler is engineered for precision and consistency. One minute allows the controlled shock, harmonics, and vibration to fully dismantle the hard drive - without tools. When higher throughput is required, the system scales effortlessly. Multiple DiskMantlers can be configured in parallel or integrated along automated conveyor systems to meet virtually any processing demand. Our largest installed configuration achieves a potential throughput of approximately 15,000 drives per eight-hour shift.
